The 13th annual Northumberland Ribfest & Music Festival is just a couple weeks away! Each year it gets bigger and better and because of your support, the Rotary Club of Cobourg is able to do more in the community and abroad.

For the second year in a row, we are going eco-friendly GREEN at Ribfest. All waste will be sorted and disposed of by Rotary Staff so that compostables, recyclables and trash are put in separate bins. All we ask our guests to do is bring your used food containers, utensils and cups to our two conveniently located Waste Stations and we’ll do the rest. Have a great Ribfest and thank you for helping us to do a large part for the Environment.

The Good BrothersJust when you thought our entertainment lineup couldn't get any better... it does! Our headliner on Friday night will be country legends, The Good Brothers.

Bruce, Brian and Larry Good have toured with some of country music's biggest names and played to audiences in renowned venues like The Riverboat, El Mocambo, Massey Hall and Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto. They have been inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame and toured around the world. Join us at 8:00 p.m. You won't want to miss this show.

Song Remains The SameOn Saturday we have a rockin' night planned with Song Remains, a Led Zeppelin tribute band.

This group comes from Australia and is arguably the best Zeppelin tribute band touring today. You'll hear two hours of great music from this legendary 70's rock band. Don't miss it. The show starts at 7:00 p.m.

Sounds of MotownOn Sunday we change it up a bit with Sounds of Motown, a tribute to the legends of Motown. You'll hear hits from The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson Five and more.

The Sounds of Motown Show was started by George St. Kitts in Toronto in the early 90'sand has has inspired fans all over Canada, U.S.A. and Europe. The show starts at 1:00 p.m.

Check out all the great entertainment we have planned for 2019.

Money Well Spent
The Northumberland Ribfest & Music Festival is an important Fundraising event put on by the Rotary Club of Cobourg. The funds raised at this annual event go toward supporting important projects in our community and abroad. Here are just few of our contributions in the past year:

• Final payment toward our pledge of $300,000 to the Northumberland Hills Hospital to help fund cardiac monitors and telemetry units
• A $300,000 commitment toward building the much needed Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre
• Funding for Habitat for Humanity, Northumberland Learning Connection, The Help Centre, Rebound Child & Youth Services, Community Radio 89.7, the Colborne Library and more
• Continued commitment internationally to maternal and child care, literacy, clean water and the eradication of polio

Our August Ribfest weekend is one of three major fund raising activities the Club undertakes. In February we hold our Annual Sportsman's Night Dinner & Auction and every Canada Day Weekend we host our HarbourArts Festival as part of the Cobourg Waterfront Festival. We hope you will join us for these special events to helps us continue our work in the community and abroad.
