Northumberland Rotary Ribfest presented by the Rotary Club of Cobourg

The 2011 Northumberland Ribfest was a resounding success and planning for this year's sixth annual event event is underway.

Join us in Cobourg's beautiful Victoria Park August 17th to 19th for the 2012 Northumberland Ribfest. On Friday the ribbin' will begin at 2:00 p.m., Saturday the fun is from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. and on Sunday you can have fun from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Northumberland Ribfest isn't just about ribs. We'll also have a great line-up of entertainers appearing at the historic Victoria Park Band Shell, our popular Market Bazaar is back and we'll have a children's activity area for the kids and kids at heart.

	This event is a fundraiser to help the Rotary Club of Cobourg support worthy causes at home and abroad. A few of the contributions we have made in the past include:
	• $500,000 commitment to the Northumberland Hills Hospital • $300,000 commitment to the Cobourg Community Centre • Ongoing development of Cobourg Heritage harbour • Literacy projects at home and abroad • Clean water projects • Polio eradication

Our August Ribfest weekend is one of three major fund raising activities the Club undertakes. In February we hold our Annual Sportsman's Night Dinner & Auction and every Canada Day Weekend we host our Rotary Arts & Crafts Festival as part of the Cobourg Waterfront Festival.
